Jerol Industri of Sweden has completed another successful crash test. The test, which was undertaken by the Department of Highway Engineering at Helsinki University, involved the crash testing of a 6 metre Jerol 219mm traffic signal post.

The post was fitted with twin signal heads mounted at low and high level and connected with a 16 pin Poleplug disconnection system. The post was installed using a Jerol pre-cast concrete foundation.

The test was a complete success and acted entirely as predicted by Jerol. The test report confirmed that the post sheared upon impact and dropped immediately behind the vehicle, the traffic signal heads remained connected to the post. The Poleplug disconnected. More significantly the report stated that there was no damage to the vehicle roof or passenger compartment.
