Jerol have completed another successful set of crash tests
This time the test was undertaken on 2 No Jerol 219mm diameter posts supporting a 5m2 sign plate with the sign plate mounted at 1500mm above ground.
The test, which was undertaken by Helsinki University Test Laboratory, was completely successful. The report states that there was “no deformations in the occupant compartment”
The National Annex to BS EN 12767: 2007 currently states that a mounting height of 2.0m should be used unless the system has been tested at a lower height. The latest test allows Jerol posts to be used at a reduced mounting height of 1500mm.
