Protective Coatings

Post and Column’s fabrication and protective coatings are carried out by our own in house personnel who are all trained and certified to the highest and latest standards. All welders undergo regular periodic testing to ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication and protective coatings process.

Protective coatings are an important and integral part of today's signpost and column manufacturer's operations and this is why the company has invested heavily in the latest in-house protective coatings and paint application processes. A variety of PVC and PPA plastic coatings are available and we offer a full range of paint finishes from basic sealants to full Highways Agency approved G2A specifications. All our galvanizing is undertaken by national galvanizing companies, working to the latest standards.

The PPA range of speciality coating powders has been designed to meet specific market end uses. They have been formulated to meet or surpass the needs of each application – be it for weather, chemical, abrasion or temperature.

The protective coating on the Jerol posts is achieved by applying a layer of tough polyolefin. The application is undertaken during the manufacture of the posts and is heat bonded onto the surface of the inner reinforced fibre layer. The coating is extremely durable being weather and is UV-resistant.
