For 20 years, The Post and Column Company have been leading the way in road signage
structures and lighting column products. Our ranges have been designed for use on any
roads, from local lanes to major motorways and we offer a choice of solutions depending
on the project.

We design and manufacture our own range of steel sign posts and lighting columns and we are also the UK’s only distributor of Jerol poles, a revolutionary impact-absorbing passive safety product for both sign posts and lighting columns.

Steel posts and lighting columns

Our steel products are manufactured to the highest standards by skilled and qualified
personnel and we carry out regular spot checks to maintain quality. The posts and columns
are then finished with a choice of protective coatings. As coatings are key to durability,
we’ve invested heavily in the latest, most advanced coatings and paint application processes
and offer a variety of PVC and PPA plastic coatings as well as a full range of paint finishes.

A wide choice of sign posts are available and we work closely with you to ensure the most appropriate design, specification, materials and manufacturing techniques for the project.

Lighting columns are also available is a variety of sizes from 5 to 15 metres, with a range of diameters and thicknesses, depending on your design criteria. We also offer a bespoke design service to tailor lighting columns to your specific project and complete design check certification is available for all our products.

Jerol passive safety posts and lighting columns

Innovatory Jerol poles are manufactured in Sweden using a patented process. Designed
to absorb impact, they greatly reduce the risk of injury or fatality in a crash situation.
Used for sign posts and lighting columns, Jerol poles are made from a glass fibre/polymer
composite with an outer layer of tough polylolefin. As well as being safer, the poles are
extremely durable, being both weather and UV resistant, and their service life is estimated
to be in excess of 60 years.

Post and Column Company is fully accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and to National Highways Sector Scheme 6 and all steel and Jerol products fully comply with all relevant BS and EN standards.
